Cold Morning Dip
Good Morning,

How are you all ?

So, this week I thought I would set myself a challenge and try swimming in the big blue ocean. Monday, I thought I would be brave and join my local open swim group and dip in the ocean in just my bikini. It was freezing, however the benefits for the rest of the day were just incredible. The reason for wanting to do this was because of the benefits that I had read about;

Boosts your immune system- Foe your body a drastic change in temperature constitutes an attack, as anyone who's ever fallen overboard in British waters will concur. Whilst attacking your own body may not sound like a good thing, there is no harm in keeping you on your toes, its quite the opposite.

Natural high- whilst in the water I have experienced a high feeling from the cold water, a feeling of wellbeing that's so encompassing that it becomes addictive. Endorphins are what make you feel good, during and for the rest of the day! Why not give it a try? If you think that sounds dangerously close to the pleasure/pain barrier then you're probably right. Did you know, the two other causes for endorphin release are pain and orgasm.

Gets your blood pumping- Being hot brings blood to the surface, being cold sends it to your organs. This means the heart will work harder and circulation is proven to improve. You may even notice a difference in things such as your complexion improving.

Improves sex life- The most important benefit! Even a cold shower might bring this on, so imagine what swimming in the ocean may do. Would you like to be my swimming partner and come join me in the mornings?

Burns calories- swimming is a great exercise but swimming in cold water will be twice as hard. The body has to work harder in cold water to keep us going. For this exercise, fat is your body's primary source of energy and the increased work rate will increase metabolism in the long run.

Mindfullness
Good Afternoon,

How are you all? How was your weekend?

I have recently started reading a book called " Mindfulness, finding peace in a frantic world".

Where do i start! I cant put it down. Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgement. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practises to relax the body and mind and with practice will help reduce stress.

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what were doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us.

When were mindful, we reduce stress, enhance performance, gain insight and awareness through observing our own mind, and increase our attention to others' well being.

Mindfulness meditation give us a time in our lives when we can suspend judgement and unleash our natural curiosity about the workings of the mind, approaching out experience with warmth and kindness, to ourselves and others.

I could keep talking more about this topic, as its become very important to me since reading this book.

Aspirations that help design your life
Good Afternoon,

I've been thinking today about what I want to do with my life and where I want to end up, were all allowed to dream right ?

The simple but illusive first step is to write down your list in a place that you will revisit. For example keeping a journal and in years to come being able to look back on. The locations you visit at the time help to bring back those ideas, prayers, dreams ect. Writing a journal isn't something you do everyday just when you feel inspired to do so.

Secondly its good to talk with others about the lists you have made, its a great conversation starter and most people enjoy bucket list talking! Don't worry about dreaming to big or too small its personal to you.

Things to consider when writing aspirations; Look at different aspects such as 1- things to do, this can be the most basic bucket list like an event or experience. They may not require experience or time they are just one off events you can do by yourself or in a group. 2- Different places to go. Pick places you have always dreamt of going, somewhere quirky and different. There are so many cultures out there to see! 3 - Pick a skill to learn. Most people want to learn something but just don't give it the time of day, the brain is an amazing engine, use it to its full capacity!
4 - Finally a possession to obtain. Maybe you have always wanted to have something really specific for example a certain car, or telescope or even collecting coins. Something i have been doing for many many years.

Why don't you start making a little note here and there and find more out about yourself.

How are you?

So this morning i decided to start my fitness journey again after having broken my hand ...

Exercise is not just about aerobic capacity and muscle size. Exercise can improve your physical health and your physique, trim your waistline, improve you sex life ;) and even add years to your life. people who exercise regularly tend to do so because it gives us an enormous sense of well- being You feel more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night, have sharper memories and feel more relaxed and positive about yourself and your life. It also is a powerful medicine for your mental health. This is one of the reasons i need to participate in fitness.

Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety and ADHD. it can also0 relieve stress, helps you sleep better and boosts your overall mood. Even if you don't suffer from mental health, regular physical activity can still offer a welcome boost to your mood, outlook and mental well-being.

Living by the seaside is a dream ...
Good Morning,

How was your weekend? I've been thinking how lovely and calm it would be to live by the seaside. Every time I visit a coast it always makes me realise quite a lot about myself.

The world's oceans and seas cover 70% of the surface of our planet, it provides the vastest ecosystem, goes as deep as 6 miles deep. In the deep oceans - 2 our of 3 animals encountered are new to science. That in its self, just blows my mind.

Watching David Attenborough's latest episode released on Netflix " a life on our planet" has made me realise, we need to change little things in order to save our planet. Climate change is a matter of urgency. Attenborough uses his own experiences to make the case that if he were born today, and were to reach old age, the world he would witness in 2080 would be a world struggling to grow crops due to the effects of a drastically warming planet.

We've destroyed it, the natural world has gone, he quotes.

It's the little changes we need to make in order to help planet earth. I myself am a vegetarian.

What little changes have you got planned or are already doing? I would love to hear.

Little retreat away with the girls
Good Morning,

How has everyone's weekends been?

I went away with a few friends to a little eco shepherds hut with a wood fired hot tub. The atmosphere, uniqueness and secluded, idyllic location with stunning views over the countryside.
it had an air of creativity and love, with a cosy natural feel. The views overlook the forest, valley stream again with the wood fired hot tub. it was the perfect place to unwind. the countryside is a glorious play ground, from ponies, bouldering for climbers, rivers and beaches that go on for miles.

i thoroughly enjoy my weekend and was something that i really needed, i enjoyed a gin and tonic or two also ...

Weekend away camping!
So what a weekend, away camping with my friends, to try take my mind off other things …

The anticipation of freedom. Just thinking about going camping has a stress relieving effect on me and boosts my mood. Camping means time outdoors which never fails to make me happy, and the though of just being in my tent for a day or two to get me through a few tough weeks has defo helped !!

camping makes life so much slower ... when im camping the pace of life changes. it takes longer to do anything and you're not in a rush to do everything. You dont have to be in a frantic rush for anything which feels amazing. It also means i am still able to enjoy the small things like building campfires and enjoying gazing out the tent into the beautiful views with no distractions or pressure to be productive.

Anyway, enough of my weekend, what have you been up to ?

Stop worrying about the small stuff ...
Good Morning,

I thought id write a little blog on mental health as ive been struggling lately, so just want you all to know your never alone and its OK to not be OK.

As much as worry and fear can bring us to our knees sometimes, much of it is possibly not really about life changing, catastrophic things but rather the small stuff. its not to say that life doesn't have a way of hurling incredibly challenging fast balls at us but for the sake of this blog lets stay focused on how to stay emotionally regulated and calm during the other times.

Worry and fear can feel overwhelming and have a way of tricking us into believing that all is lost. these are legitimate feelings ! the problem is you allow your worry to consume you, it is not only distressing but can lead to a self fulfilling prophecy ...

Here are some ways to stop worrying about the small stuff -

- stop getting ahead of yourself
-put your hand over your heart
-practice self acceptance
-re frame your worry
- find a true friend you can talk too
-identify what keeps you stuck and work on it

I hope these help you as they help me massively.

First day back after braking my hand !!
Good Morning you lovely people,

So i haven't been on for nearly 10 days as i fell over and broke my hand! i have had surgery, k-wire been in a cast and now in a splint ! its been a terrible time and im really worried people will get annoyed with my one hand situation. But please bare with me, as we can still have lots of fun and get to know each other.

i need a massage
Good Morning,

How are you all ?

So i went to the spa last week for a relaxing time and decided to get an hours full body massage ... It was AMAZING ! i felt so relaxed, it was just what i needed as things have been so stressful lately.

Massage is generally considered part of complementary and integrative medicine. It's increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations. It can reduce stress, pain and muscle tension which is exactly what i needed.

A little fact about me ....I am a qualified masseuse. I am very good with my hands and i know exactly what i am doing. I like to be professional but tease at the same time ... I would love to do this on a meet with someone and let me show you how good i really am. I will make it all about you.

Stressful week
Good Afternoon Guys,

Hows your weekend been? Did you get up to much ?

I've had a very stressful weekend and it's made me realise a lot. I have started something called headspace app, which i seem to be finding very helpful. It's proven to help an individuals sleep. However, its important that we approach that goal in the right way. Having a very specific outcome in mind when it comes to sleep, can sometimes be counterproductive.

After all, sleep isn't something that you can decide to do. It's a natural process that depends on the body and mind, not just a switch you can hit on or off. Often people who regularly experience poor sleep become almost obsessed by a particular idea related to their sleep. Lots of people tend to think that if you get 8 hours of sleep then you will function properly. Stressful thoughts like this if people dont get their " 8 hours " begin to suffer with anxiety, which then can also affect sleep as we all well know!

Im going to stick with head-space as i find its helping. Let me know if you have used it or are having problems.

How to succeed in my new business...
Good Morning Guys,

How are you all ?

So ive been thinking this morning about how i can make my mobile bar business one of the best around, seen as though i have a lot of competition around ...

From a marketing point of view, the good news is the process of getting my first customer versus my one hundredth is the same. But for traffic to successfully result in sales and profit, there are some essential things that i need to bare in mind...

A good product means that its good enough for your audience and passes their implicit cost benefits and analysis.

A market is a group of people already spending money on something. Need to think about are people already hiring the same type of mobile bar?

I've done lots of research and in order to spread the word and drive more traffic to our website and social media i need to ensure;
- Run paid social media ad campaigns
- Engage in conversation on social media ( live updates also )
- Reach new audiences with influencer marketing
- attract customers with content marketing
- Use SEO to increase people viewing

Is there anything you can think of to get my business more established and out there? If there is let me know !

What an amazing weekend ...
Good Morning everyone,

How was your weekend? Did you get up to much?

Finally, my friend and i had our mobile horse box bar delivered which is our new business adventure. Everything has been made from reclaimed wood/ scaffolding boards and poles and looked totally rustic!

Been a hectic week so haven't been on cam much, as I've been busy on courses and trying to get things sorted. I didn't manage to pass my towing course but its all booked in for next week. onward and upward as they say !

Little update
Good Morning Guys,

How is your week going?

Little update; the water leak is now fixed i just am waiting for a surveyor to come out and in contact with a solicitor to hopefully get Persimmon to agree for the next 10 years that they will cover any damage to the house!

On a better note ... My mobile Horse box bar is being delivered this weekend! I am very excited and cant wait to start! Any ideas for the bar would be greatly appreciated. As they say " if you cant stop thinking about it, dont stop working for it"

Hope you cam with you all this week, next week i am on a course to learn how to tow the trailer but will be on in the afternoons!
