An incredible trip

As some of you may know, a couple of weeks I took a trip to the US and drove the Golden Triangle, Vegas - LA - San Francisco.

It was incredible!

I met some amazingly interesting people, made memories that will last a lifetime and (rather importantly) figured out my travel style... Few days on, day off. But must book activities in advance. It's amazing how much you can see and do!!

I kayaked the Colorado River (this is where the photo was taken), hiked the Valley of Fire, jumped off the Stratosphere (super proud of myself), watched the most incredible Cirque Du Soleil performance, had my coffee with Sea Lions each morning and drove the Golden Triangle in a Mustang. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Here's to branching out and giving things (Countries) a try, you just never know!

Where would you love to go? I'm intrigued! I ask, cup of tea in hand, candle lit and cosied up in a blanket, anyone for a fireside chat?

A little insight into my Saturday

Everyday I walk the 15 minutes into town to pick up a coffee from my favourite spot in the Gardens and I always get talking to the Barista. He's an Italian from the Amalfi Coast who shares the same love of the Ocean and all things water.

As always he asked what my plans were for the day and I mentioned that I was en route to the Inflatable water park.

"Your element is water!" He exclaimed excitedly. It was only the week before that we were talking about swimming in the waterfalls on the Yorkshire Dales.

Being in the water is my happy place but for some reason I have always been a tad cautious about making it 'my personality' - i didn't want to box myself off. But sometimes you happen on certain things in life and they really do set your soul on fire. So I say embrace it, let that fire burn bright and enjoy every second of it.

I, for one, plan on soaking up as much of it as possible. And tomorrow morning that starts with my ice bath in the garden, cup of tea in hand of course - dreaming of those waves washing over me.

One day i'll have that beach house and i'll roll out of bed in the morning and run and jump into the Ocean...and I cannot bloody wait!

I'm now writing this cuddled up in bed, cosy with my favourite Grey's Anatomy on in the background. Bliss. I would love to hear about your day xx
