The charm of precious memories.

Hello everyone, It`s been a while but just thinking of all the lovely memories I have been fortunate to make, with the help of many lovely people. This is where my memories came from the other day when I was wearing a relic from the past, my old vintage charm bracelet. Each and every charm holds a special memory for me, some of family, some friends, and of course, some of the most amazing places that I have been able to visit
One of my favorite charms is the old vintage £10.00 note, wish I had a bucket load of them. still, you cannot buy memories and no-one can take them away from you. Shame the glass is broken but it is a delicate piece and I suppose there has been the usual wear and tear as there is with everything.
The bracelet is full, but, I do believe that there is maybe room for another one, (or 2).
Of course, I have lots of other special memories, but the charms hold a special place in my heart. I hope that you all have good memories that you can cherish. Take care everyone and will blog again soon.

The Royal Birth.

Hello everybody,
Well, we have good news,, another Royal baby and its a boy. Such good news and does'nt the Princess look gorgeous. Especially after just giving birth, she looked amazing. I suppose the next thing to happen is the odds on which baby boy's name will be chosen, my money is on James or Charles. Will be interesting to see, and it does give us all something to talk about .
What a coincidence that the new Royal baby was born on St, George 'day!! Oh, and Shakespears' birthday also. Lets hope all bodes well for a wonderful future for the little one . So, all in all we have good news this spring .
Makes life that much more pleasant .

THE GREAT BRITISH CUPPA!!

Hello Everyone,

Just enjoying a nice cup of tea, heaven, and it got me thinking about how we Brits are associated with a few stereotypical gestures such as always discussing `the weather` - well, we do talk about it a lot, and having a good brew. Wherever we go, we always need a brew, even if we go abroad, how many of us take tea-bags with us, I know I have in the past.
It is such a British tradition, whenever we have a crisis, first thing to be offered is a cup of tea, (or maybe a brandy haha) Apparently, it got us through the war. No surprise there then.
We are a funny lot are`nt we?? Sharing a cuppa with friends is a delight and we all identify with it, whether or not its a cuppa at home or a lovely afternoon tea in delightful surroundings during the summer. If we have one, fingers crossed.
So, as I sit here with my brew, I am looking forward to summer and some great outings, hopefully. Whether or not they include tea and cake, but if they do, I will be sure to enjoy. Sometimes, its the little things in life that make all the difference.
So, whatever your pleasure is, be sure to enjoy.

THE DEVIL IN DISGUISE.

Hello Devilish Folks,

Hope all is well with everyone. Had some new photo`s done recently at my home and have to say that I am really pleased with them. It makes such a difference when you have photo`s done at home rather than in a studio.
Decided to go a little `risque` with the red devil. After all, don`t we all have a little bit of the devil in us, even it is well disguised. Such good fun though.
Luckily it was a very sunny day so we managed to get some outside shots. Also great having a conservatory as the natural light is so much better and my quirky decor seems to work very well. xxxxxx

`Romance is in the Air`

Hi All,
I do hope that you all enjoyed the romance of Valentines Day and that it was special for you. This is the day when intimacy counts and works well for everyone who is in love-------- Well, I sincerely hope so. Would be a sad old world if we did`nt have such days to look forward to, whether you are receiving cards and flowers, or you are the one just simply giving. There is pleasure in that also.
So I hope that whatever you received warmed your heart during this cold and dismal month of February. We could all do with a little bit of heartwarming cheer. Being made to feel special is a great feeling, feel-good factor ten. We need more of it that`s for sure.
What do we have next on the horizon, hhmm, well, I m looking forward to Spring. Only because I have zero tolerance for the cold. So, as I baton down the hatches and reel the drawbridge up, I may well hibernate and dream of sunnier climes. Wishful Thinking. Happy Belated Valentines Day to you all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Hi everyone,

Well, we are into the first week of the new year so I will take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year and hope that 2018 brings you all that you could wish for.
Had some lovely evenings out with friends over the holidays, great friends, great food and great fun. Just what the doctor ordered. 2017 has had its ups and downs as I`m sure it has for everyone, but at least 2018 has some good feel-factor events looming with the Royal baby due and maybe (perhaps) another Royal Wedding. Lets wait and see.
I think January is the time to really have some fun as it is such a long month, seems to go on for ever, and even at the best of times, it is a bit gloomy, so lets all have a toast to happiness and fun-filled times. (Lots of them).
Has the TV been rubbish over the holidays or what????? Thank goodness I am not a slave to my TV or I would have been really disappointed.
So before we all get back to our routines and the daily grind, take some time to have a bit of fun and ENJOY. Luv Anna xx

STOCKING FILLERS.

Hello everybody, Well, the Merry Season is almost upon us so it got me thinking about some really sexy stocking fillers. How lovely to have a treat of silky, satin red underwear, sexy knickers, bodice, bra etc. I am into `red` at the moment. Probably because it gives such a glow of warmth and is a very sexy colour. Especially as it has been so cold of late, bbrrgghhhh. I`m just picturing the scene, sat in front of a nice log fire, hot toddy to hand and my super sexy underwear. Feel good factor 10.
Looking forward to the New Year also. Not made any resolutions as yet, but there is still plenty of time for that. That's if I bother, they do not normally last too long anyway and I can`t think of anything that I want to give up at the moment.
So tis the season to be merry and I shall dress in red to compliment this time of year. After all, if its good enough for Santa haha, although I`m not sure his outfit is one I would wear personally, but you never know, stranger things have happened.????

Xmas Markets

Hi everyone,
Well, Halloween has been and gone, as has Bonfire Night, so next event to look forward to is the Xmas Markets. I have to say though, Manchester does put on an amazing Christmas Market, full of atmosphere and mulled wine. Lovely. Just what you need the the temperature drops as it usually does this time of year.
Still, its a magical time and the lights are dazzling. Gets everyone in the mood I think. I know it normally starts a little too early but there`s not a lot we can do about that - go with the flow I say.
I appreciate that for some people, Christmas is not the best of times, and the reasons for that are many and varied, so to everyone who may be dreading this time of year, I wish you well.
There`s even talk of it being a `White Christmas`. If I was a betting girl, I may even have considered having a little flutter, but on second thoughts, I will leave that till the summer. You never know, may even have a trip to Ascot if I can find my super duper hat.

Leopard Print Always in Fashion.

Hello Everybody,
Just a quick hi to you all and hoping all is well with everyone. Just thinking the other day about how some things can date very quickly and other things just always stay in fashion, a bit like the `little black dress`. My passion is leopard print. I have a very extensive wardrobe with a lot of leopard print outfits which everyone seems to love. I even have leopard print wall-paper in my lounge and even though I say so myself, it is a talking point - and I love it.
A friend of mine has spotted a leopard print dinner service and thought it would suit me just fine. I have to agree so a purchase could be on the cards soon. Helps that I love to entertain and cook so that would be a good buy. Not that I really need an excuse to splash out occasionally.
Amazing how being surrounded my lovely things makes you feel so much better. I think that we all enjoy a little treat now and again. Anyway, leopard print suits the wild side of my personality, I like to think so haha. Its a little different anyway and thats not always a bad thing. Each to their own, would`nt do if we all liked the same thing. On that note, wishing everyone (whatever your tastes are) an enjoyable autumn. Luv Anna xx

The Magic of Books.

Hello Everyone, As an avid reader, I have recently re-visited some of the famous old classics, and so thoroughly enjoyed them. Whether I`m on a beach, in a waiting room or just chilling at home, you cannot beat a good book. Perfect for escapism or just to broaden the mind. I could read anything, ( except for instruction manuals haha) Not very good with those, more likely to be on a wing and a prayer with such things.
Just re-read "To Kill a Mockingbird" another, classic and certainly worth reading again. However, I have a very broad and diverse range of reading material and can get just as much pleasure out of the odd `trashy novel` as I can with an academic piece of prose. Still, variety is the spice of life, or so I`m told.
We all have our own style of relaxing, and settling down with a nice glass of wine and a good book is my way, each to their own I suppose. Whatever is your way of relaxing, then enjoy. Luv Anna-Aroma

Keep On Smiling ...

Hello everyone,
Hope all is well with you all.
Just thinking just thinking about how much a smile can mean, even from strangers. I have always lived by the mantra that 'I was born with a smile on my face' but it is so good to have someone give you that smile, it just makes your day that much more pleasant. Feel- good factor 10.
There is an awful lot for people to be miserable about these days, including this rainy season, so to get a smile from someone adds a little ray of sunshine.
I've always believed that good company and a good laugh with someone is the best better tonic in the world.

Goodbye Darling Furry-Friend !!

Hello Everyone Hope all is well with everyone, and that you are all enjoying the summer. With much sadness I had to say goodbye to my darling furry-friend. My gorgeous dog; Beauty. It was time for her to go to her 'forever home; but saying goodbye is never easy, for all animal lovers out there, we know the hardest decision any pet owners has to make is the one whereby it is time to say farewell. However I want this to be a happy dedication to my beauty who like many other cherished pets has given so much happiness and love. Over 14 years she had been at my side, she has given me unconditional love. Wouldn't it be nice if we humans did the same!!!!!!!! . Well it has been a roller- coaster of a week but will be back on track before you can 'shake a stick'. You can't keep a good girl down for long but I will always take a little bit of my Beauty with me, memories truly are forever. Best wishes for all Anna-Aroma.

INDULGENCE

Hi everyone, Well, its been a week of indulgence for me. A little pampering goes a long way. Think we all need that `feel-good` factor once in a while and it depends on what does it for you, but for me, being spoiled is a real treat and so much appreciated. Nails, hair, massage, spa treatment and facial. Felt a million dollars afterwards.
Still, we all have our ways of making ourselves feel good and why not. Life in general these days can be so hectic and stressful that we must not forget to take care of ourselves now and again.
Not so long ago that would have been considered a little selfish, but I think that nowadays, most of us are a little more enlightened and realize that its not selfish to look after yourself.

DRESSING UP FOR ASCOT !!!

Hi everyone, What a treat this week to see Ascot in all in its glory. A good few years since I was last there, but it is so nice to see all the ladies in their finery, and those hats, WOW. The trend has been to `dress down` for such a long time, its great to have a British tradition whereby everyone still dresses to the nines.
Last time I was there for `LADIES DAY`, the champagne was flowing, the weather was good, and I even had a little flutter and won. How good was that. Maybe I`ll get the chance to go again. Here`s hoping.
I suppose the next `British tradition` we have to look forward to is Wimbledon. Bring on the Pimms and the strawberries and cream. Hhhmmm. Yum Yum, oh, and the tennis will be fantastic, as ever. Take care everyone, Luv Anna.
