I'm Back! |
Good Morning Everyone,
I'm really sorry I haven't been on here much lately, unfortunately I broke my ribs and have been unable to do a lot (a long story). But, I am back and ready to catch up with you all. We have lots to talk about, I need to know what you have all been up to while I have been away. Im sure you all have some wonderful stories to be telling me. I have emailed as many of you as I can to arrange a catch up but I will be online every morning Monday to Friday 8-12pm.

All about being Zen ... |
Good Morning,
It's been a while since I wrote a blog. I have been away on a little get away to North Devon surfing and paddle boarding for the week! What an experience it has been. I have come home and purchased one as I enjoyed it that much! Going out for a paddle and enjoying a little can of cider, when the sun is shining!
SUP is a great way to spend your time and stay healthy! Being near the sea is just my favourite, its me time and gives me time to reflect! Not only that, it gets you fit too!

Hot sweaty gym session |
Good Afternoon,
Well I have been upping my game lately and attending the gym 5 times a week after work. I certainly feel better for it and feel so much more motivated and more importantly have more energy! I certainly got a sweat on this morning at the gym ;)
Keeping healthy and fit is a person choice but one you can manage. Looking and feeling sexy is entirely in our own hands! Things that I often think about are; exercising often and effectively, eat healthily, develop your best physical assets, and overall looking after your mental health!
Its been a tough one in lockdown but surely but slowly restrictions are lifting and we slightly have some more freedom!

Change |
Change is the one thing you can count on. We hear this over and over again. Never be afraid of change! You might lose something good, but you might also gain something even better.
one reason we resist change is because we focus on what we have to give up instead of what we have to gain.
Let's face it; embracing change, especially the unexpected or surprising variety, is no fun. Even in the case of making proactive, intentional changes, we can be guilty of wanting to see others take the first step. But personal confidence and maturity cannot be gained by living through others, Whether it is intentionally building a good habit or responding, with a good attitude, to an unplanned change- we should go first! Jump in with your heart and your head! You never know where change may lead you.
Everyone likes staying in their comfort zones. The truth is, change happens to all of us, it's a simple part of life. While some changes are good ones we have to accept that we are faced with disruptions that do not initially feel welcome. This makes us stronger and become better individuals.

Empowerment |
Good Morning to all,
I haven't had time recently to write a blog as i've been so busy but i have missed writing them. I missed International Women's Day so my theme for today is empowerment as you may all have guessed from the title.
This day marks a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world.
Women's empowerment is the process of empowering women. Empowerment can be defined in many ways, including accepting women's view points or making an effort yo seek them, raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and training. Women's empowerment equips and allows women to make like determining decisions through the different problems in society.
People are empowered if they have access to opportunities without any limitation or restrictions such as education, profession and in their way of life. Feeling entitled to make one's own decisions creates a sense of empowerment. Empowerment is the process that creates power in individuals over their own lives, society and their communities.
How has your weekend been? I guess we are all excited about restrictions being slightly lifted in lockdown!

Visiting Bali is on the bucket list ... |
Good afternoon,
How are we all? All i have been thinking about is a nice holiday since Boris's announcement ... Roll on June!
Bali, is somewhere i have wanted to visit for a very long time! Its a favourite destination for many people around the world and its easy to see why! From a list of unending idyllic beaches, captivating spiritual energy, beautiful food and exotic sunsets! From looking, there is so much to see and experience on this island of paradise!
There seems to be an adventure to suit every soul! Experience surfing, yoga, meditation, trekking, delicious food or amazing nightlife, are all things that are of interest to me. There are still lots of remote areas, that maintain their uniquely Balinese beauty and charm.
From research; the best time to visit is during the island's dry season. So any time during May to October. There will be no worrying of rain like here in the UK! I certainly need a well deserved break after being in lockdown for over a year!

Cycling is my new lockdown activity |
Good Morning,
How are you all keeping during this uncertain time?
Ive recently bought a new mountain bike and have been enjoying cycling 10-12 miles, 3/4 times a week. I am thoroughly enjoying it and the benefits are great!
It certainly gives you the feel good factor, it helps boost endorphins and good your hormones! Cycling is mainly outdoors and the fresh air and sunlight is just the best feeling ever! Vitamin D at its finest. Certainly great for weight loss, I usually burn around 500-600 calories per bike ride which over time will help with me improving muscle and loosing fat! Winner.
Another benefit of cardiovascular exercise is the boost to your long term health. This kind of exercise helps reduce things such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes. Exercise helps improve your immune system! What more could you want during a global pandemic!
Sleep is also improved, well definitely the quality! What more could you want? What activities are you participating in over lockdown to keep you fit. Thats swimming and cycling for me... maybe a triathlon on the cards ;)

Affirmations are powerful |
A lot of us do not believe in ourselves or our capabilities. We sell ourselves so low that people take advantage of us. To truly build confidence and self-believe, daily affirmations are necessary. I even have an affirmation calendar in the kitchen to give me a little boost each day. There are a lot of laws of attraction quotes that will instill belief and push you into living your dream life.
Affirmations are simple and positive statements describing an already completed goal. They may sound basic but they have an intense effect on our conscious and unconscious mind. My cousin everyday sends me a mantra throughout lockdown to make each little day easier... Todays; " We are fulfilled, we are fearless! "
The secret of most successful people lies in your ability to let go of negative thoughts. I understand that willpower alone cannot get us to the height we desire. Without a positive mindset, the zeal to keep us going will slowly fade. When you harbor positive thoughts, it sky rockets your success.

Understanding the subconscious mind |
Good afternoon,
Very deep i know for 3.40pm on a Friday afternoon but I'm reading a very interesting book currently and id like to share with you all this little bit ...
Your subconscious mind is responsible for your beliefs. All that you perceive is a result of what you accept as true in your subconscious mind. The conscious mind thinks, the subconscious mind absorbs. Your conscious mind is your garden and your subconscious mind is like deep, fertile soil. Seeds of both success and failure can be planted in this soil without any discernment. Your conscious mind plays the role of the gardener, choosing which seeds are sown in your soil.
Here me out ...
But most of us allow good and bad seeds to fall within this soil. This means that limiting ideas are among those constantly taking root in our subconscious, since they're repeatedly sown there. As the subconscious doesn't evaluate these ideas, they gradually reshape our beliefs. This means fearful, jealous and power-hungry individuals will constantly feel bad seeds into your mind that will limit your potential in life. You may be told to wake up and be realistic.
Deeply habitual thinking that stems from undesirable subconscious impressions will lead you away from your true goals in life, but the truth is. Once you mute the noise of the world, you'll realise theres nothing you cant do.
I love this book im reading, it inspires me everyday and i read it between every call i get whilst working. Are there any inspiring books you are reading or have read previously? I would love to know.

Sunrise beach stroll |
Oh my, the sun was just rising and the skies were a beautiful mixed colour of pink and blue, I could not resist the calling of the sand and water.
The stretch of the beach seemed never ending and my walk was unhindered by barriers.
I loved feeling the sunlight on my skin as well as hearing the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. The breeze did not worry me, nor the many ocean bathers.
I did begin to think of a time (few years ago) when myself and this lovely guy may of had some fun during sunset... all my senses where high, and the thought of anyone else seeing me, well was just even more of a turn on. Risk is my thing ... have you ever experienced some fun on beach where the waves are just crashing in and maybe some people nearby?

Good vibes, Good life |
Good Morning all,
Well it has been two weeks since I have been online as I taken some time off to enjoy the festive period and just relax. How was your Christmas and New Year? Im guessing a quiet one too due to Covid?
Do you enjoy reading, if so I highly recommend reading a book called, Good Vibes, Good life. it has taught me a lot about how when you love yourself, life begins to love back. When you begin to honour your vibration, you become a magnet for good things.
Ever heard of the saying "law of attraction" ... for this to work, you have to think positively. However, I do understand that you can't always think like that as things do go wrong in life, or they don't quite turn out how we expect, its hard to remain optimistic. The law of attraction places great emphasis on positive thinking. The belief is made on the ideas that people and their thoughts are made from pure energy and that a process of like energy attracting like energy exists through their health, wealth and personal relationships.
I would love to hear your experiences with this belief and how it works for you...

Triathlon in mind .... |
Good Morning,
How has your weekend been?
I have continued over the past couple of weeks to swim in the sea and now also introduced swimming in the pool to improve endurance and strength. I have found a new love being in the water and having something to train for. I am even considering a possible triathlon towards the later part of next year.
Training and technique is very important for the swim part of the triathlon. There is no compulsory swimming technique that is required in a triathlon however there are some ways you can prepare for it in open water swimming. For example, if the water is choppy you will need to raise your arms higher, and practising breathing both sides in case you are swimming alongside another competitor.
Cycling is the longest event during a triathlon and your training should reflect this, by practising endurance training often will only improve confidence, stamina and technique.
Running, you need to concentrate on technique and speed and in cooperate short runs, long runs, sprints and interval training. Variation is key.
Something I have invested in for open water swimming is a dry robe, they are a dream! Getting out the sea and putting your robe on and enjoying a coffee with beautiful surroundings, hard nipples and endorphins running around your body. Nothing quite beats it!
